Welcome to SSA Coweta Recreational Soccer Coaching

SSA Coweta understands the important of the Recreational program in fostering young player's physical, mental and social growth so they can reach their full potential.  By creating a fun and knowledgeable coaching environment, the Recreation players, parents, and coaches can learn, develop, and enjoy the game of soccer regardless of individual ability.

SSA Coweta Recreational Coaching Staff consists of volunteer parent coaches who posses a varying level of soccer knowledge and experience.  That is why SSA in not only committed to developing the player, but the volunteer coach as well.  SSA is there to support all the coaches every step of the way, by providing a fun and knowledgeable coaching environment to help coaches learn the game and develop their skills, in order to deliver fun and age appropriate training to all of the players.    


Coaching Support

To assist you as a volunteer coach, SSA Coweta has a Recreational Director who will be there to support you and other parent coaches, every step of the way.

Additionally, we encourage parents and all of our volunteer coaches to taking the Georgia Soccer coaching courses.  SSA locations host the professionally led courses (State G & State F) every season and the courses are FREE to all Georgia Soccer members.

The State "G" Certificate Coaching Course is aimed at coaches and parents of U4 - U8 players.  The course is four hours long and provides fun activities that enhance players' skill development.

The State "F" Certificate Coaching Course is tailored or the coach who is working with U10 and/or U12 Recreational players.  The emphasis is on teaching young players through a variety of fun games and practices.  The course consists of seven hours of instruction and practice. 

The State "E" Certificate coaching course is for the coach who will be working with u14 or older recreational players.

With the support of our Recreational director and the coaching education providing through Georgia Soccer you are bound to be a successful coach.  All coaching course are listed on the Georgia Soccer website listed under Coaches > Courses.  Click here to go to the Georgia Soccer website.

Reimbursement

If you volunteer to be the Head Coach for your child's team AND you take the age appropriate coaching course provided by Georgia Soccer, you will be eligible to receive half off your child's registration fee.  If you are the Head Coach for multiple teams, you are eligible to receive half off registration for the additional child you coach as well.

Returning Head Coaches who have completed the required coaching course the previous season may continue to receiving the coaching discount by registering and indicating that you will pay by check.  Then email our register and they will adjust your balance and you can then complete your payment 

Register as a Volunteer Coach

To become part of our Recreational Coaching Staff, please login to your account and sign up as a volunteer.  This step can be done the same time you register your child.  If you are new to SSA, you will need to create an account and then you may register your child as a player and yourself as a volunteer coach.
