On Friday, the 4h of December Southern Soccer Academy will host our Winter Academy/SCCL tryouts for players looking to play competitive soccer in the Spring 2021 season.
Who is this for?
- Current SSA Recreational Players and Non-SSA players that are currently not playing for a US Club Soccer program.
- Players looking to develop in a more competitive environment under the guidance of qualified experienced coaching staff
- Players who are looking for a challenge at Academy and SCCL level

What Happens In The Event Of Bad Weather?
The event will be postponed and rescheduled to a later date.

Leading up to the event you will receive a further confirmation email with details of what your child should bring, wear, and what to expect from the event.
What Happens After The Tryout?
Successful players will receive an invite to join the program for the 2021 Spring season which commences from February through to May. Please note, only successful applicants will be contacted, if your child has not received an offer within 7-days after the tryout event then your son/daughter will need to tryout again in May/June of 2021.
What is Academy Soccer?
Academy soccer is the first step for a young player looking to play competitive soccer. Specifically for ages 8-11, players are challenged by our licensed coaches who focus on both short and long-term development goals that cover the technical-tactical, physical, and social fundamentals a player needs to play at the full size (11v11) game.
What is SCCL Soccer?
Short for Southeastern Clubs Champions League, SCCL is for serious players aged between 12-18. This is the next step on the SSA development pathway.
This elite league was founded by some of the best clubs in the South East region and boasts some of the top teams in the state. Teams compete in a promotion and relegation format playing environment.
Academy/SCCL Fees
If your son or daughter is selected for the Spring 2021 season, fees will be 50% off regular registration fees due to joining mid-season. Academy and SCCL Seasons run from August through to May.
