Southern Soccer Academy offers Academy-level soccer training and gameplay for both boys and girls at under 9 (9U), under 10 (10U), under 11 (11U), and under 12 (12U) years old.

The goal of the program is to prepare our players for SCCL-level soccer at 13U and above by developing their technical and tactical skills in a high quality training and playing environment where an enthusiasm for, and a commitment to, the game is nurtured and rewarded. The program is coached by licensed and experienced staff coaches working within a club-wide curriculum developed by our Director of Coaching and our Academy Director. Players are offered the opportunity to accelerate their development by competing on a weekly basis in academy games against clubs from all over metro Atlanta, as well as attend pre- and post-season tournaments. The program is designed for the player with a high level of commitment to his or her soccer development, and requires a greater time and financial commitment than the typical Recreational program.

Season dates and practice/game schedules mirror the 13U and 14U SCCL seasons (below), with a short winter break between the Fall and Spring seasons.

The Southeastern Clubs Champions League is a league comprising mostly of teams in the metro Atlanta area. The league, of which SSA is a founding member, was formed in 2018 by clubs searching for a better way to offer youth soccer programming for the serious soccer player.  Each age group and gender offers multiple divisions of play and incorporates a promotion/relegation system at the 13U and older ages.

In the 13U and 14U age groups, the Fall season starts around early August with pre-season practices and tournaments, while regular-season games begin early September going through mid-November. The season finishes usually in late November/early December depending on post-season tournament attendance. Teams will have two practices per week, with one or possible two games at the weekend depending on the league schedule.

The mid-year winter break ends in early February with Spring pre-season practices and tournaments. The regular season starts in early March, going through Mid May and ending in late May with post-season tournament attendance.

The 15U-19U age groups play a Fall-only season to allow for player participation in Spring High School programs.
