Frequently Asked Questions About the Spring 2008 Season

FAQ

Q1) How do I know what team my child is on?

A1) Your child should be contacted between Feb.11th and Feb.18th by their coach. If a coach has not contacted you after this time, please contact the Coordinator of your age group.

 

Q2) Where do I find who my Age Group Coordinator is and how to contact them?

A2) Click on the "Registration" tab at the top of the home page. All the Coordinators are listed with their e-mail address.

 

Q3) Where can I find the practice and games schedules?

A3) Click on the "Schedule" tab at the top of the home page.

 

Q4) When does the season begin and end?

A4) The Season begins on March 1st and ends on May 10th. However, one rain date of May 17th is possible.

 

Q5) Is there a Timeline or date schedule?

A5) Yes. Click on the "Registration" tab at the top of the home page. Scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see the Spring 2008 Timeline.

 

Q6) Is the Coweta Soccer program based on Volunteers?

A6) Yes. All REC coaches, Coordinators, and Board members are all Volunteers. The only paid employees are the Registrar and Staff Trainers.

 

Q7) How can I volunteer to help in Coweta Soccer?

A7) There are many opportunities to volunteer your time. Please contact Alan Ewing or any Board Member. The contact information is under the "Club Info" tab on the home page.

 

Q8) If I have an issue, problem, or question, who should I contact first?

A8) Please contact your Coach first. The next contact would be the Age Group Coordinator. After that, would be Alan Ewing and the Board Members. For Registration Questions, please contact the Registrar at 770-683-8392.

 

Q9) I would like some coaching courses and additional training. Who should I contact?

Q10) Do you offer other soccer programs?

A10) Yes. We have an Adult Coed, Womans, Over 30 Womens, Micro, Select, Academy, Rec, Jr. Academy, Muppets, and Hispanic leagues.

 

Q11) Can I use the Rec uniform I used last Spring.

A11) No. All Rec players must purchase a NEW style Rec uniform. The NEW uniforms were introduced in the Fall 2007. If you did not buy a NEW uniform in the Fall, you must buy one in the Spring to play.

 

Q12) Where and when can I get a uniform?

A12) Please watch the webpage. All uniform dates will be posted on the home page.

 

Q13) What should my child bring to practice?

A13) Shin Guards, Cleats/Turf Shoes, the correct size ball, plenty of water, and a great attitude.

 

Q14) What size ball does my child need to use? Are they different?

A14) Ball sizes are different between each age group. U-8 and below use a size 3 ball. U-10 to U-12 use a size 4 ball. U14 and up use a size 5 ball.

 

Q15) How do I know if the fields are closed?

A15) The coaches are not responsible to contact all players, as all are volunteers and work during the day. Please use the Field Hotline at 770-683-8391 if you are not sure if the fields are open.
