EXPERIENCE:
Aaron was a four year starter as a defender at Clayton State University and elected captain for three years. He was voted to the All Conference Team and is still in the top five in career minutes played. Aaron played his club career playing at AFC Lightning.
Aaron has spent the last 16 years coaching at the club level and spent 7 years coaching at the high school level. Aaron has previously coached at AFC Lightning and Concorde Fire before coaching here in Coweta. At the high school level, Aaron amassed an 85-32-7 record over 7 years coaching boys at Lovejoy HS and girls at Newnan HS. During that time, these teams reached the AAAAA Final Four once (06), Elite Eight three times (01, 07, 08) and Sweet Sixteen twice (03, 04). There were also five county championships and two region championships along the way. Aaron was selected Region 4-AAAAA “Coach of the Year” three times, Times Herald “Coach of the Year” twice and Atlanta Journal Southern Crescent “Coach of the Year” once.
CREDENTIALS:
USSF “C” License as well as a NSCAA National and Advanced National Diplomas.
B.S. in Social Science from Clayton State University and a M.S. in Social Studies Education from Nova Southeastern University.

EXPERIENCE:
Coach Joanna McCaughey (Jo) is originally from Sarasota, FL. Jo coaches girls Academy and Select for CCSA Cannons. Coaching experience for Jo started in High school coaching a U-13 girls Sarasota Storm team, from there she moved to Jacksonville State University. During the off-season she coached a local high school team. After college she coached at West Broward High School in Miami and trained academy players at Weston Fury Soccer Club.
Jo played club soccer for Sarasota, Storm, IMG academy and Manatee Magic. Jo played high school soccer for Sarasota High School, making in to the State Final four 3 out of 4 years, and playing the in state finals 2 years. She played 4 years at Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville AL. in the Ohio Valley Conference. She received second team all-conference selection and 2 first team all-conference tournament selections as a center midfielder. She played professionally in the WPSL for the Miami Kickers F.C. from 2007-2009. Led the Kickers to the WPSL final four as a captain in 2009.

NSCAA Diploma license. Working towards her NSCAA Advanced national diploma.
Chris Long - Staff Coach
Chris is grew up in Peachtree City playing club soccer for both Lazers and Concorde South and his team made it to the State Cup tournament each year. He was part of the 2008 graduating class of Starr’s Mill High and lettered two out of his four years in soccer. In both years the team made the state playoffs and the journey ended in the quarterfinals making the team finish in the top 8 each year. Chris went on to play for Tusculum College (Division II) in Greeneville, TN. In his only season playing with the team, the Pioneers were co-champions of the SAC conference for the season record, won the SAC conference tournament, won the region tournament, and finished their post-season placing 7th in country after losing in the NCAA Division II tournament quarterfinals to the University of Tampa.
Chris started off his career with the Coweta Cannons in the 2009 fall season. He is currently head coach of the U-13 Lady Cannons Gold squad and is a co-coach to the U-9 boys sqaud.

EXPERIENCE:
Landon grew up in Peachtree City where he played soccer for 13 years at both Lazers and AFC lightning. Landon played at the highest level in the state at both clubs winning many top tournaments. Landon graduated from Starr’s Mill High school in 2008 where he played for 4 years. Landon gave up the opportunity to play college soccer to focus in school but now has returned to the game as a coach. Landon currently studies at Georgia State University and majors in Exercise Science. Landon started at the Cannons club in Spring of 2010 and looks forward to many more years of success in this great environment.

EXPERIENCE:
Coach Hemal joined the Cannons staff in the Fall of 2010. He is a native of London, England and has been living in the US for 13 years.
Coach Hemal is a math teacher and the head soccer coach at Trcities High School. He has taken the HS team to the playoffs in two of his first three years as head coach. Hemal holds a USSF “D” License and will obtain his USSF “C” license this summer. Hemal played college soccer at Georgia State University where he received his B.S in mathematics and played with the Cannons’s DOC Jordan Davis.
