Oct 21 is Silent Saturday at Region 58

This weekend, October 21st, is Silent Saturday across every AYSO Region in our Area. Silent Saturday empowers kids to play on their own and have fun and is an opportunity for us to see our children play soccer without well intentioned advice from the sidelines. The rules are simple. Spectators must remain silent, no loud voices and yes, not even cheering. We encourage everyone to clap, hold up signs and support your team and players without using your voices. Coaches may talk to their players at the breaks but remain silent and not use voices to coach from the sideline during game play. Players are encouraged to talk to each other while on the field but players on the sidelines must not use voices to speak with their teammates on the field. 6U, 7U, and 8U coaches will still referee their games, but we ask that you do so quietly and with minimal instruction to players on the field. Silent Saturday is for and about the players and we thank you for your cooperation and help making sure everyone knows and respects these rules. You can find more information on our website.
