Other Important Info...
For those that are new to U-8, practices will be different then U-6. They will be mass practices and the schedule and drills are set by the league. There will be 2 coaches there to make sure everything is being done according to plan and my roll and Jeff's roll will be to assist them. They came up with this plan to make sure that all kids are learning basic soccer skills.
On game days, do not park along Dixie or you will get towed or ticketed during the game. Come early to get parking.
Not sure if everyone has played in this league before but either way here are some things to know or to refresh your memory: parents are not allowed on the players side of the field during games for the safetly of all kids; there are no goalies; there is a large arch around the goal that neither team is allowed to touch the ball in; there will be 4 players on the field at a time for each team; I will rotate players in and out constantly with the goal being to get all players equal playing time; score is not kept; the objective is for the kids to have fun and love to play soccer not to win the game; referees are young kids that are training so go easy on them and do not give them a hard time.
