My name is Coach Scott Suchyta, one of the coaches for the Texans Michigan Youth Flag Football League in Macomb. The coaching staff consists of myself, Coach Dave Chojnacki and Coach Keith Nelson. We wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to the team.

The calendar will tell you which jersey we’re playing in, the address of the field, the field number, the team we’re playing, and the snack schedule.
Meet & Greet - Sunday, April 19:
Please plan on being at the L'ANSE CREUSE NORTH HIGH SCHOOL football field (23700 21 Mile Rd Macomb, MI 48042) by 1:30 on field #3.
The meet & greet will take approximately 30 minutes, and will be followed by a 1 hour practice. We will take a few minutes to introduce ourselves, distribute the jerseys/equipment, fit your child with their flags, discuss the potential use of our team website, talk about a snack schedule.
Game Day:
Your child will play in a seven game season, which will run from April 26th through June 21st with the exceptions of May 10 (Mother’s Day) and May 24 (Memorial Day weekend). All practices will take place one hour before your scheduled game time: Practice NOON-1:00PM and Game 1:00-2:00PM.
Picture Day - June 14:
Mark your calendar - June 14 - for individual and team pictures. We will know more information as we get closer to the date.
Friendly reminder about the league rules:
- Mouthpieces are required at practices and games. I strongly suggest for all parents to purchase an extra mouth guard and either leave it with the coaches in a baggie with your child’s name on it, or just keep it handy in case a mouth guard is lost.
- Shorts or pants without pockets. This rule is to help prevent a player from injuring themselves when pulling the opponent’s flag.
- No jewelry of any kind.
We are hopeful to have some warm and sunny days this season, please make sure to bring the water and sun screen.
In closing, we want to let you know how excited we are to be a part of your child’s development as an athlete. Our goal is to help them see how much fun the game is, and for them to want to come back again next season.
