Cannons Academy Info
The Cannon’s Soccer Academy is an initiative that began in 2003. This developmental program for 8-12 year old players (U9-U12) helps create an environment more conducive for long-term player development. In essence, it is a bridge between recreational soccer and "select" soccer. The players who choose to play in the Cannon’s Academy program are taught by the clubs professional coaches and trainers.
The primary focus of this age group is skill development. Accordingly, the players still play multiple positions and training is geared toward foot skills (technical skills) rather than set plays and other tactical type skills.
This program is the foundation of our Select Program.
Try-outs for this program take place June 1st - 3rd 2010.
